"LOVE ALL PEOPLE AS YOURSELF."
The Bible states it very clearly, so there can be no possible misunderstanding: the Law Of Love fulfills and exemplifies the whole Law of God.
THE LAW OF LOVE
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word,
"You shall LOVE your neighbor as yourself." (Galatians 5:14)
Everyone is our NEIGHBOR? Right? In the Parable Of The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) it was asked of Jesus who is my neighbor? Jesus answered using a priest, Levite, and Samaritan in his story and asking each who they thought was a neighbor to the robbed & half dead man from Jerusalem. Therefore, "Love your neighbor as yourself" really means "Love all people as yourself," because everyone is our neighbor.
But what about LOVE for God? Doesn?t that come first? Yes but God sees LOVE for others as LOVING HIM! So when we love others, we are expressing our love for God but in a unique way He understands.
We cannot claim to love God until we first love our fellow man. In the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats (Matthew 25:31-46) it was asked ?Lord, when did we see you, clothe you, feed you, visit with you? ... And the Lord said ?Depart from me, for when I needed food, drink, clothes, or visit while in prison, you did neither and none.
Verse 45: Then he will answer them, ?Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.? REMEMBER: Our Lord can appear anytime he wants to in order to test our imbedded and God given gift of ?LOVE?.
Peppermint Patty of Charlie Brown asked: Charlie, explain love. Charlie Brown answered ?You can?t explain love, you can?t even talk about it?.
Scott Peck (Author &Harvard graduate as a psychiatrist) states that true love is not "falling in love". "True" love is about the extending of one's boundaries to include another, and about the spiritual nurturing of another, in short, love is effort upon effort.
People have trouble forgiving and Pastor Mark went on to say that we all should be very careful when we say the LORD?s Prayer. Pastor Mark says ?It?s like holding rat poison in your hand and waiting for the rat?s to die.? The rats won?t die because your holding on to to a thought not acting and making the effort.
Lastly, Francis Sheaffer said ?When you are loved you are more likely to find Christ?. It is our responsibility and law to always love others in hopes others will always see Christ in us.
If any one says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a
liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen,
cannot love God whom he has not seen. (1 John 4:20)
