In the Beginning . . . . .

Hello,

My name is Spencer Stevenson and I would like to personally thank you for taking an interest in our Web Page and our Singles’ Ministry Program.

Two years ago the Pastor of Emerywood Baptist Church of High Point, NC and I, found ourselves being brought together by God to find friendship and trustworthiness in some day to day casual and business relations. It was through this friendship and many months later that the Pastor discovered my past involvement with a very large W/S Church’s Single Ministry program.

Sadly, that Single Ministry Program dissolved. Knowing all the benefits such a ministry could bring to the triad, many prayed for a Church to start up a Christian Coffeehouse.

For 6 years good people came to that singles ministry program and during that time volunteers found a way to personally serve the Lord. They did it as their unique and individual personal relationship not a “look at me”. This ministry isn’t about the individual, it’s about God and his Word.

October 2005 Emerywood Baptist Church became the church that “STEPPED UP” and saw the important need to provide a safe and secure ministry to the single adult. The Pastor, Deacons, and the members of the Church all voted to do all they could to build a strong and serious Christian Ministry in the Triad.

The Timing was from God and He chose the Church and the Year. I’m here to follow God’s Vision and allow him to use me as he chooses, to help others build their personal relationship with Him, to give others an opportunity to serve and volunteer, and to help build a better tomorrow for today’s Single Adult..
